Inconsistency is the bane of DD relationships, and has been a constant struggle for me in particular. Inconsistent leadership leaves your partner feeling lost and insecure, like a ship cast adrift on the open sea.
With this in mind, I thought it would be helpful for me to jot down my thoughts, and record the efforts I'm making to stay engaged, and provide the leadership our relationship needs and deserves.
This week I have begun sitting down with my wife when I get home each evening to discuss her day and find out if there are any issues I need to address. It's a small step, but one that I hope to build on in the coming weeks and months.
DD works in our relationship, but only when I work at DD.
Consistency is key.
